The Society for Industrial Archeology’s 2026 Fall Tour will take place Sept. 24-27 in Altoona, Pennsylvania featuring the East Broad Top Railroad. EBT will host a day and a half of activities at their historic narrow-gauge steam railroad facilities in Rockhill and Robertsdale, Pa., including a Friday night dinner train. On Saturday we’ll visit the Railroader’s Memorial Museum, iconic Horseshoe Curve, and the Center for Metal Arts in the former Cambria Iron Works. An optional Sunday tour of the Juniata Division of the Pennsylvania Main Line Canal between Hollidaysburg and Lewistown is being planned with the assistance of the Pennsylvania Canal Society.
