SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2

• public pre-event at the Seaman Mineral Museum, Michigan Technological Univeristy. The museum will be open late and a public talk in association with the Quincy Mine’s “Talks on the Hill” (but in this case the other hill) with reception.

THURSDAY, JUNE 3

• Pre-conference tours*
  • including an iron-specific tour to Marquette/Ishpeming/Negaunee
    (note, this one is a 200+ miles round trip on chartered bus, so it will leave very early and be back rather late, but we will try to time it to get you to the reception!)
  • More TBD
• Welcome Reception & Presentation
• Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions

FRIDAY, JUNE 4

• Choose one of four all-day bus tours
  • North
  • Southwest
  • Southeast
  • Space and High Tech
• Dinner on your own
  • But the conference team would welcome you to our favorite waterfront hangout in Hancock (a 15 minute walk across the bridge) at Small Craft

SATURDAY, JUNE 50

• All-day paper sessions & exhibits on the Michigan Tech campus
• Annual Business Meeting & Luncheon at the Memorial Union Building
• SIA Banquet at the Bonfire at the Continental Fire Co.*

SUNDAY, JUNE 6

• Working on a Post-conference cruise*
